Of course you are all wondering
what I must be up to while
Mum dog and Big Dog are away.
It appears old dogs CAN learn new tricks.
I now have an opposable claw,
and can type.
I do my guard duty every day.
But the best thing is,
I have learned how to run with the bike!
At first my people wore an all over black skin thing
they said was to protect them in case I saw a cat,
but I was too busy running.
Now my people wear normal clothes
and I can run and run and run.
See how I take a corner!
Mumdog and Big dog
will be so impressed.
Afterwards I was pooped out.
I get two runs and two walks a day.
I am so lucky.
My people say I got a postcard
from Europe.
I couldn't eat it.
I ate my teddy instead.
He is looking thin and eyeless.
I say hello to Crosby next door.
He likes to chase the ball.
He does not know about cats.
After dinner I work on the Kong a bit.
There always seems to be something in there..
I love to hog the couch at night.
My people say I am being myself,
which must be a good thing.
I may have to send an email
to Mum dog next,
with my opposable claw
with my opposable claw
as I know she is missing me.

you grew

ReplyDeletesuch a handsome boy! I bet you hear that all the time. ;0)
ReplyDeleteAww Bruce you're so clever, next you'll be riding the bike.
ReplyDeleteBruce it's fabulous to read all about your day, you are so clever to teach your uncle how to ride a bike so that you can take him out every day. Well done lad.
ReplyDeleteDear Bruce, that is the best gulag I have ever seen! 2 runs and 2 walks plus a teddy and treats to eat and big fat cushions to sleep in? If I were you, I'd put out feelers to see if the humans you're with would like A Permanent Dog. That'll teach MumDog and BigDog to desert you for some cheese and vino. Hooroo! X

Hey WOOF Bruce, you're a wonder dog, but that's expected considering the company you keep.
ReplyDeleteWonderful to see you being the amazing, fit, handsome, healthy and much loved Bruce you are ... WOOF :)
Oh Bruce...Hoagy so wants to come and visit with you. He doesn't have an opposable claw yet but he said he realllllly wants to run with you. But, alas, not sit in the hold of a plane for a day or two! Glad you're having a blast while Mum Dog is away. I bet she misses you fierce.
ReplyDeleteLove this!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteHello Bruce - you are clever to be able to run next to the bike and not get run over. Monty Dog played a bit with a hedgehog today. I think he got a bit close for comfort because he was spitting things out. Luckily the hedgehog rolled into a ball and was safe. Monty sends his love and says he had a red kong. xxx
ReplyDeleteBruce, you are one of the handsomest athletic and ingenius pups around. That opposable claw changes everything!!
