I'm no Coppola, not even his daughter,
or possibly the egg he had for breakfast.
Over six weeks I have enjoyed a vertical learning curve
into the world of aspect ratios,
frame rates, fx generators and dog knows what.
Love a challenge. The type that has you transfixed,
coffeeless, and fingers frozen
but unable to tear yourself away.
Who knew there were 75 different types of video file,
each with it's own little foible.
Who knew they all didnt get along?
and who the hell knows how to import video
into a stone age computer like mine.
The camera needed a square type hole (fire wire)
and I had a round ones and rectangular ones.
Story of my life, really.
Didn't fit into the right hole.
It's a tiny 2.5 minute love story.
It gets an airing next week,
when I'll be away, and David will be in hospital.
I hope I've done Clarrice and Dave justice.
Enjoy a sneak preview and some free range,

Hey Denise, I can imagine the frustration you felt trying to pull this whole thing together, working outside your comfort zone and trying to come to grips with all the computer techno stuff..........
ReplyDeleteThe sneak peek is wonderful....what a touching friendship Clarrice and David have. Life is full of differences, it's nice to be able to appreciate them, in all their varied forms....

A genuine labor of - and story of - love. It takes a most attentive and compassionate heart to see what many would miss. You do them great honor. xo
ReplyDeleteGrrl, are you still in town? I thought you were traipsing around the French countryside! It's okay if you aren't Coppola or his egg. There are heaps of other more imaginative whimsical directors you can be. Personally, I'd choose Burton. Hope there's nothing too serious with David? Hugs x
ReplyDeleteToo beautiful! And I totally agree with Marylinn - you do them great honour. x
