More Plastic People for Streetware

More plastic people were released into the wild this morning.
Dungate Lane got an "Urban Providor".

Named largely from the plastic bags that take my fancy,
Urban Providor gazes up at the street art that should have been there,
but for the chickenhearted withdrawal
of the owner.

In Nithsdale Lane,
Freedom Woman stalks the streets.

She keeps watch over a very cute bar that is tucked away there.

At an early opener in Dungate Lane
and Castlereagh St, "JC" took a seat.
Much to the surprise of a sleepy eyed
barmaid setting up for the day.

Looks like Nithsdale Lane is home
to more than plastic people.
Someone has stashed a mattress
and quilt to come home to later on tonight.

Hope they live long and prosper.

  6. Wow - you have got the poses for these ones down pat - they are very 'real' and expressive. Keep going - you might get to populate the whole city! What has happened to the earlier works - have they traveled or do they remain in their original places?

  8. it's the wrong time of year to begin such a project here but I'm casting my mind into future waters - I think this tribe needs increasing...I'll look for fellow conspirators and i think i get the how of it...i sure get the why of it.

  14. What has public response been? The reaction in high places must be very positive, as the project expands. and they do just get more and more realistic. Great job.

  16. Hi Denise - well it was just about a year ago that we met! I love your new interventions - kind of like Anthony Gormley's bodies - they have such a disturbing presence!
