Vaucluse House Guerilla Knit update

LinkWith the installation of guerilla knits happening
on Saturday June 20, at Vaucluse House,
the group is madly clicking away.

Copies of Yarnbombing are close at hand.

The kitchen is large with flagstones
and filled with woodfired smoke.
These pies have just come from the oven.

Soon jam will be spread and clotted cream spooned
on freshly baked scones
to nourish our souls while we knit.

Come sit by the fire and get warm.
It's raining outside.

There are more logs for the fire coming...

Perhaps a sherry while we wait?

And a dip into some literature to pass the evening hours.

Come join us on Saturday the 20th, from 6-7-30.
So we can all enjoy the sherry,
Vaucluse House are asking for RSVPS.
See you there.

  12. Next weekend there's an outdoor kntting get-together in Birmingham (where I'm currently at)...something made me pick up my knitting bag before I left home, so I think I now have plans for the coming weekend (despite the fact that it will be nearly 100 degrees, literally) and will be thinking of you while I'm there!

  13. This is a terrific post, inspirational. A pity I live in Melbourne and it's a long time since I knitted, but it reminds me of my last writing group, such warmth and camaraderie. Thanks and good to meet you. I've come here via Marilynne.

  14. You have inspired even non-knitters in Claremont, CA to commission guerrilla art for the street. Apropos of your kindred comment - then we must be very strange indeed.

Do put in your 2 cents worth - it's totally valuable to me!
