With the installation of guerilla knits happeningon Saturday June 20, at Vaucluse House,
the group is madly clicking away.
The kitchen is large with flagstonesand filled with woodfired smoke.
These pies have just come from the oven.
Soon jam will be spread and clotted cream spoonedon freshly baked scones
to nourish our souls while we knit.

Come sit by the fire and get warm.
It's raining outside.

ReplyDeleteNext weekend there's an outdoor kntting get-together in Birmingham (where I'm currently at)...something made me pick up my knitting bag before I left home, so I think I now have plans for the coming weekend (despite the fact that it will be nearly 100 degrees, literally) and will be thinking of you while I'm there!
ReplyDeleteThis is a terrific post, inspirational. A pity I live in Melbourne and it's a long time since I knitted, but it reminds me of my last writing group, such warmth and camaraderie. Thanks and good to meet you. I've come here via Marilynne.
ReplyDeleteYou have inspired even non-knitters in Claremont, CA to commission guerrilla art for the street. Apropos of your kindred comment - then we must be very strange indeed.
