Announcing the Global Guerilla Knit Up Challenge!

It's time!

The guerilla gauntlet has been thrown down.

Anyone up for the challenge?

Here it is:

Create a piece of guerilla knit/crochet/weave/altered op shop find and attach somewhere in the public arena.

Take a photo of it as evidence of guerilla action

Post it on your blog by

February 23rd

That's all.
Here are some ideas:
Use recycled "yarn" like these cut up plastic bags .

It does not even have to be a pole;

Just leave your knit up in a public place. ( I use the word "knit" loosely.)
Crochet, plait, sew.
Tag it with your blog details or leave it as a mystery find.

Up to you.

Perhaps you want to get some friends andy go completely berserk like this:

Here's what will happen;

Every brave guerilla will be listed in my sidebar, and when you have your guerilla knit up in place, send me the blog link and I will post it.

Febuary 23rd is the deadline.

If you have it done before then, let's see it so we can all be inspired,
and
extra banana to you.

    SO
    REAL
    DEAL!

    I want to do it. I don't knit, sew, crochet, or plait. I will do something else.
    I don't know what altered op is. But something will be altered, that's for sher.

    I have been dying to be on your sidebar for ages!

  60. Well, I have read about this idea. Wanted to do it. But have no "physical friends" with which to do it! So excited. Thanks for the idea - from a "blogger friend." Going to the small little collection of yarns to pick out some likely suspects. And - I know just where I'm going to place it. Outside my favorite wine bar!

Do put in your 2 cents worth - it's totally valuable to me!
